When the light turns green Then you'll know what I mean Just look at the car in front See it move When the light turns green Then we will be free To drive within the bounds That you set so long ago While you were buckled in the seat Of a plane that was going too low And then the trees turned green And we ate lima beans And Brussels sprouts And okra Then the trees turned green And we took off our jeans In favor of Polaroids With frames so white and bare We photographed our patchy tans When we couldn't decide what to wear How it looks like snow When it begins too slow When all the years have passed you by How it looks like snow When it begins too slow When all the years If you look at me Then I know what you see Because you don't need to show What's on your mind And if you look at me Then I know you'll be Tied up inside your room And never coming home You'll just stay right there Like a face without a moon Give me one more chance Let me show your hands How to pick broken locks It's not too hard So just one more chance To let me fix your pants There is a hole right there It runs from your thigh To just below your knee It's really quite a tear How it looks like snow When it begins too slow When all the years have passed you by How it looks like snow When it begins too slow When all the years have passed you by How it looks like snow When it begins to slow When all the years Have passed you by

A New Key 03:02

about

Our ninth wintry season release. Our ninth holiday-ish-time-of-year music-making experiment.

Every time we do this it feels a mite bit different. Sometimes we've got a lighthearted survey of the traditional western-winter-holiday genre on our hands. Sometimes it's contemporary music for listeners of only the utmost mental fortitude. Sometimes it's that, but also indie-songwriter plus prog-rock pastiche. This year we scraped around the cellar and found two old numbers: one rock & roller of sorts with a stately lyrical signal-to-noise throughput; the other, a scenic electric guitar étude.

BONUS TRIVIA: these two tracks bring our 2023 Total Released Track count to SIX (6) which is the most material we've released in a calendar year since like 2010 or so.

about

Lime Colony California

Lime Colony is a California-based eclectic homespun indie band / creative oasis for Timothy Garcia, Earl Kramer & friends to meld their muses.

Formed in 2006 as a folk duo, they grew into a rock band, shrank, & grew anew. Nearly two decades later and now with a satellite office in Los Angeles, they’re still making music (sometimes).
